PET

PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, this material is a plastic that soda bottles, for example, are made of, or; PET bottles. PET bottles is an excellent strong material, has good acoustic properties and is lightweight.

Despite the fact that PET bottles are a huge burden on our environment. We are working withImpactAcoustictocombat this impact of pollution.

To give an insight of this pollution, 500 million pounds of trash, much of it plastic, are dumped into the world's oceans every year.

Materials from Impact Acoustic® are environmentally friendly and made from recycled plastic bottles

With its flexible application options, the material offers unlimited opportunities to address acoustical challenges.

A versatile building material(ARCHISONIC®) that can meet various requirements and is available in two different material thicknesses (12 and 24 mm) and 36 colors. In addition, 88 post-consumer PET bottles are used in each square meter of finished product.

Certifications

Cradle to Cradle®

The Cradle to Cradle® principle describes how products break down to their raw materials after use and re-enter a life cycle. All ingredients are harmless to nature and waste is avoided. The material received overall bronze, while the areas of water management and reuse of materials were rated gold.

SCS Global Services

The independent institute SCS confirms that at least 60% of the material is recycled PET, which we extract from water bottles. This means we can recycle up to 88 plastic bottles per square meter of material used.

LEED v4 (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system is currently the most widely used green building rating system in the world. LEED provides the framework for healthy, highly efficient and cost-effective green buildings.

Ecobau (Eco 1)

The Swiss ecobau label aims to provide architects with reliable information on environmental impact. The certificate confirms an ecologically sound building product and covers significant environmental impacts. It qualifies products for use in "Minergie" construction projects. The material received the highest rating "eco 1".

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).

Not only acoustics are the focus, but also clean ambient air. The material has been tested for both French and California regulations and received the highest standard.

Environmental Product Declaration

The architectural industry is increasingly specifying products with transparent, LCA-based environmental impact statements (EPD). Impact Acoustic is proud to transparently and objectively disclose data on what our material is made of and its environmental impact throughout its life cycle.

Declare. Red List Free

Declare is a food label for building products. It is designed to help specifiers quickly find products that meet their project requirements. Declare labels indicate all intentionally added ingredients and residues weighing 100 ppm (0.01%) or more in the finished product. Each ingredient must be listed by chemical name, CAS number and percentage or percentage range.
